House Speakers in London for the 75th Commonwealth anniversary

The Speaker of the National Assembly, the Rt. Hon. Moses Wetangโula and his Senate counterpart, Hon. Amason Kingi today joined Speakers from Commonwealth Member States during the flag raising ceremony held at the Commonwealth House, London to mark the Commemoration of the 75th Commonwealth Anniversary.
The Commonwealth Day is an Annual Event observed across the Commonwealth countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, America, the Pacific and Europe.
This year sees the 75th Anniversary of the creation of the modern Commonwealth themed "๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง ๐
๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐".
The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 56 independent and equal countries that is home to 2.4 billion people which includes both advanced and developing economies.
The two House Chiefs later proceeded to the Memorial gate for the laying of wreaths in honour of the souls lost from Commonwealth Countries in the World Wars.
They are accompanied by Members of Parliament including; Commissioner Hon. Patrick Makau, Hon. John Kawanjiku, Hon. Nelson Koech, Hon. Julius Mawathe, Hon. Catherine Omanyo, Director Speakers Office, Mr. Stephen Apopo and the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Samuel Njoroge
