Speaker Wetangโ€™ula hosts Bishop Paul Kariuki Njiru from the Wote Catholic Diocese

The Speaker of the National Assembly, the Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Moses Wetangโ€™ula today hosted the Bishop of Wote Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Paul Kariuki Njiru, who paid him a courtesy call in his office at Parliament Buildings.

The prelate was in Parliament Buildings to preside over a Holy Mass for the Catholic legislators.

Together, they discussed matters of national interest including legislation touching religious issues.  

Bishop Kariuki was accompanied by the Rev. Fr. Prof. Stephen Mbugua, the Vice Chancellor of The Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) and Rev. Fr. Andrew Bwalwa, who has been the Father-in-charge of the Kenya Catholic MPs Caucus for several years and is now leaving for Rome.
