Majority Party Whip
The Hon. Silvanus Osoro Onyiego, CBS, MP, was elected as the Majority Party Whip in the 13th Parliament On 6th October 2022. He is the Member Of Parliament for South Mugirango Constituency serving his second consecutive term.
A Certified Public Accountant and advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Hon. Osoro holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Mount Kenya University, a Post Graduate Diploma In Law from the Kenya Law School and is currently pursuing a Masters of Law Degree at the University Of Nairobi.
Political Career
Hon. Silvanus Osoro began his political career in 2017, when he was first elected to the 12th Parliament as MP For South Mugirango Constituency on a Kenya National Congress (KNC) Ticket.
During his 1st term, he Served as a Member of the Departmental Committee On Defence And Foreign Relations,
l Committee On Agriculture, Livestock And Co-Operatives and Committee on Implementation.
Currently, besides his role as Majority Whip, he serves as a Member of the Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee, Departmental Committee Justice And Legal Affairs Committee and the House Business Committee.
